New .22LR since last we met

This little lady followed me home awhile ago. S&W Model 34-1. Really fun to shoot and helps with the shooting mechanics for my Model 36 snub in .38 Special. Same look and feel but no recoil. It is helping me with getting rid of that dreaded flinch.

Finally got back to the range

April-May has been a drought of range time for me - too many things going on. Took the XD9sc, 1911, LCP and 22/45 out today and guess what - shooting is a lot of fun! I remember now... The range had quite a bit of ammo at a little over pre-panic prices, but not terrible. 9mm was $15/50, .22 LR...

Cabela's has powder on their website

I just noticed that Cabelas has some Hodgdon Powder listed as 'In Stock' on the website (several types). Was able to order HP38...

    Pistol rack - another option

Lacking RICHGCOOP's skills in the workshop, I've been looking for a rack that would work in the safe to hold my handguns. Ran across this $13 bamboo plate rack on Amazon that works quite well...

LCP carry - Don't even notice it's there...

Confession time- Can't carry at work since I work in several hospitals, so when I get home I change clothes and Elsie comes out of the safe and goes in my back pocket (Bear Creek holster). Friday, after a brutal week, went through my usual routine and the wife and I went out for dinner. We...

    It followed me home

Not sure how it happened. I was just standing at the counter looking at 1911s when suddenly I found I was filling out paperwork and then this Springfield Range Officer was riding home with me... Last week I was shooting my son-in-law's Rock Island 1911 and liked it. Now this. Help. :o

    .38 Special Nyclads

Has anyone seen the Federal 125 grain Nyclad HP ammo (P38MA) out there? It seems to come and go - and presently seems to be gone everywhere. My 2" snub really shoots it well.

380 What is the best accessory you have added to your .380?

So far the best one I have found for my LCP is the Houge Hybrid grip. This grip makes the LCP much easier to control (Elsie gets a bit squirmy when fired without it). I like my Bear Creek wallet holster too! How about you? What has made your .380 experience better?

380 BT Guide rod for LCP

My LCP has beat up 2 guide rods since I purchased it 2 years ago. They still work, no failures, but they look pretty bad. So, ordered a stainless BT Guide rod and we'll see how it does. Put 50 rounds downrange yesterday and there are no marks at all. So far, so good! They can be found at...

    .22 LR

I have more .22s than any other caliber - rifles, pistols, revolvers. Can't beat them for inexpensive practice. Many of mine match up with larger caliber, similar firearms in the herd. Practice on the .22 helps in developing skill in shooting the bigger sister. That said, it does not replace...
