    Jack In The Box

Anybody heard about this. Some gun enthusiasts go into a Jack In The Box with AR's and other assorted long guns to protest open carry laws. Causes a call to the police when a customer sees guys with guns in the place. Now Jack In The Box has went the way of Starbucks and said no more guns. Thoughts?

This is what good service looks like. SGAmmo

I am a Saiga long gun fan and I own several. My .410 cycles great but it is a little finicky on the length of the shell. I e-mailed SGAmmo about a particular brand of 000 that they have in stock to see if they could give me an overall length measurement. Sam actually sent me a couple of great...

    Taurus Judge for home defense

I went out and braved the cold long enough to run a few rounds through the Judge. I seriously cannot shoot it without grinning. Although I took this one in on a trade, I am considering buying another one for the bedside. I keep two Saiga shotguns at the ready, one upstairs and one down. I also...

    TrajeTech re-manufactured ammo

I had the chance to pick up some re-manufactured 9mm ammo pretty reasonably priced. The name on the box is TrajeTech and it is made in Newtown, Ohio. Anybody every used any of it?

    New targets up finally

My old steel targets were pretty well beat up. I had a chance to buy some locally at a fair price. Today I finally got them hung and changed a few things around on the home range. The new are the 3 square ones along the bottom. For the most part I shoot rimfire on the top row and centerfire on...

    Mini 14 scope

I recently bought a Ruger Mini 14 (NRA version) rifle. This is a very short rifle. I love this gun but I can only shoot it accurately, or maybe preciselyis a better word, out to about 60 yards because after that my iron sights pretty much cover the center ring of the target. So......I am...

.22 long ammo........I am an idiot.

I have honestly not saw .22 long rifle in a retail store since Newtown. I have saw it in a couple of gun shops at crazy prices and passed. Well I am finally almost out and low and behold, stopped in a new gun shop about 20 minutes away, and saw CCI for $52 for 500 rounds. Not cheap by any means...

    The Ruger SR1911.....you need one.

Had a little time this evening so I went out and put 50 rounds through the SR 1911 and 50 through the Ruger 10/22. BTW, I am down to bottom of the pile on the .22 long rifle ammo but I am tired of not shooting it. Anyway, from the minute I first shot my 1911 I have been completely obsessed with...

    $2000 shopping list

I am bored and broke. LC9, Mini 14 and some new steel targets all in the same month wiped me out, but it doesn't stop me from making a list. I "need" a Ruger SR45 Commander. As cooler weather approaches I will be starting to reload again and my supplies are pretty thin, so I need some components...

    Ruger 10-22

Well I have not been shooting much with the .22's lately because of my dwindling supply of ammo, but I broke out the .22 rifle tonight to do a little plinking. Ran 100 Winchester Wildcats through it. A great time without interruptions. Nice to leave the scoped rifles inside and use the iron...

    Colorado recall

I don't want this to be political as in Republican this or Democrat that, but we have something to celebrate. With help from the NRA, which I have not always been a big fan of, Colorado voters just pinned the ears back on the anti-2nd Amendment crowd. :D

Cleaned a couple of black rifles tonight.

I spent yesterday getting to know my new to me Ruger Mini 14. Had a blast but ran out of time to clean it so that was on the to do list for tonight. Also as some of you may know my reloading mentor caught up to me after church and gave me a new toy to play with. He handed me a gun case and 100...

A day at the home range (with pictures)

Some of you have asked about pictures of the home range. Here it is. There are normally two more steel plates on each side of the orange gong but they were taken down and had a wet coat of paint on them when I took the pictures.

    Maybe an AR???

Well, I had posted some AR questions but it appears my Mini 14 deal is going to go through tomorrow. I should be posting something next week. Mods, feel free to remove this thread if you like.......or leave it. I am not very demanding. ::)

    Bought an LC9 today

Recently I sold my LC9 to a friend. I wasn't really wanting to sell it, but he literally called and told me he was locked in his business (unarmed) while 2 guys prowled around outside. I had been telling him for quite a while that he should have a gun since he often works late and has quite a...

    On a better note!

OK, my last two posts were pretty negative so here is something positive. Every time I carry one of my other guns, I appreciate my LCP even more. I just love that little dude. IWB, OWB, or in a pocket holster, it just rides around and does what it does. I can honestly say without a doubt, that I...

Taurus Judge range report (Holy Cow!)

First: Sorry. No pictures. This time of year I do not get home until dark but tonight I had just a little time to spare so I got out the new toy. I shot 25 rounds of Federal Premium 000 buck which has 4 pellets per shell and 5 rounds of Winchester PDX. Again, I did not have much time so I needed...

Any S&W revolver guys out there?

A customer of mine called me today and said he remembered I was a gun guy and that he had some guns to sell and needed money. I went and bought a used Bersa Thunder in satin finish, a new in the box Baretta 92FS, a leather OWB holster for the Baretta, and a Upula mag loader for $550. I am...

    Ruger SR45c

No.....Ruger has not released a SR45c.......yet. However, I just wanted you to know I have started to bug them about it. I have waited long enough. I wrote the CEO yesterday and requested information on a possible SR45c. I even hinted that I may have to buy a Springfield XDS if there wasn't one...

    ND ends in tragedy

As many of you know, I have a good friend from my church that has been my mentor in regards to military arms and reloading for a couple of years. I have even written a thread about him (on the other forum) and his generous nature. Well, his wife is just as nice a person as he is and they have...
