    Not exactly compact carry

I finally got my Saiga 20 gauge conversion all done. No longer a sporter (fire control group moved forward). It now looks like a AK style gun is supposed to. The 410 is next. I sold the 12 gauge because I did not enjoy shooting 50 or 100 rounds through it because I am a big girlie man.

    The Bark-O Lounger

Some of you know about my other project, a 1973 Gibson houseboat. Since it is freezing cold outside and I am missing the lake, I thought I would finally post a few pics of the boat and other fruits of my labor.

    Overall cartridge length

Although I have reloaded .380 and 9 mm, at this time I only reload .45 acp. One of the many measurements that seems to be critical to reloading is the overall cartridge length. My questions are; How accurate does this need to be? Should I use calipers to measure? Should I use one of those...

    Ruger SR1911 Commander

On the 1911 forum there is a guy from Alaska that had said he had a line on 2 Commander sized Ruger 1911's. Today he added pictures. I figured some on here would want to know. :o

    Cheaper Than Dirt

Does anyone know why it appears that Cheaper Than Dirt no longer has guns on their website? Did I do something wrong on my search?

    Bob Munden

I cannot confirm this yet, but it appears Bob Munden has passed away. Certainly one of the greatest shooters of all time. RIP Bob.

    Sig .22 finish

I own a Sig 1911 .22 and I love it. I shoot it a lot, so much so that the other .22's rarely get used. My only complaint is that the finish is showing quite a bit of wear and it appears to be little more than high test paint. I am considering some kind of after market coating for it. So here are...

    Olive oil mister

Subject line got your attention didn't it? Well, I finally updated my gun cleaning kit with CLP towards the end of last year after several decades of Hoppes solvent, Hoppes oil, and a little Remoil once in a while. At the strong urging of my LEO buddies I finally bought CLP only to find that I...

I have suffered a set back on my new rifle purchase.

As some of you know I have been thinking about a new rifle. I was leaning toward a Ruger Mini 14 or another Saiga AK style rifle. I say another because I already have a couple of shotguns. Well, I had a problem today. Another Saiga shotgun followed me home. This time it was a 20 gauge. I have...

A new rifle may be in my future

As some of you know, I recently went with my buddy to shoot a bunch of guns including his Savage Model 12 .223 rifle. It had been a while since I shot a centerfire rifle and it got me thinking that I would not mind having one again. In the past they were always for hunting, which I don't do...

    Reloading forums

In regards to reloading information and data, it seems that some reloading forums are not nearly as vigilant or strict on the information posted. I am not passing judgement, just making an observation. It seems that one of the forums on reloading tends to be relaxed on the posting of the...

    Recent trip to the range.

This is the long version: My friend, who is a good 20 years older than me and also my reloading mentor took me to his favorite shooting range recently so I could finally shoot his M1 Garand. I have wanted to shoot one since my first G.I. Joe came with one. Well, we made a day of it. First...
