    Pump Shotguns

Me too should I see a trade in and have a little money in my pocket.

    Pump Shotguns

I'd pick my Mossy Mariner 590 (Or 590A1... I feel bad. I should know the model number on that one). It's worked with everything I've run through it. Mostly bird shot at the range honestly, but I've also shot #4 buck and slugs out of it without problems- but not a lot of those.

    AR Triggers

Just dry fired it at the house. I built the dumb AR9 and haven't even shot it yet. Work has been crazy- between that and back to school, I have been short on free time. Although from my short time dry firing it, it's a nice feeling trigger. It's a personal thing, but I think I like the first...

    AR Triggers

I think that's the same deal from when I ordered mine. Just be aware- the design of that trigger pack really does need the KNS anti-walk pins. Otherwise you have to use the set screws on the bottom of the Rise trigger to "friction lock" the pins into the receiver. Tighten them too much and it...

    AR Triggers

Second the anti-walk pins. I didn't know they were "needed" when I bought the Rise trigger. If you want, you're welcome to try out some of mine. I've got a bull barrel AR with a Jewel trigger set to "breathe on it and BANG" (I do not like that trigger). My favorite carbine has a Geissele SDC...

I've got pork recipes! And an Asian beef short rib that was really good-

I'm not sure if those tubes are extruded or drilled- provided someone had a 1" drill bit and a machine, it would be easy enough to drill it out. I might check the overall length just to be sure the material is there at the end of the tube.

Gotcha- in that case, I'd have to agree- the tube is the culprit this time. And I'd only consider myself a novice at best. I've built a couple but haven't really run into problems yet- Rare good luck on my part.

The Inner Diameter is the same either way, so unless the inside is shorter, probably no big deal. Just my thoughts-

One last thought then I'm done... Those shockwave braces can dimple the tube if the set screw is tightened too much- I might be sure the inside of the buffer tube is still round and smooth.

Well, it sounds like you've got it narrowed down to the problem area. I'd probably do a side by side comparison of the tube, spring, etc. and try to find out what's different. I'm sure it's nothing major- probably a fairly easy/inexpensive fix.

    Post 41F

I'm a bit curious too. I really meant to get a Form 1 or two sent off before the deadline, but with the two mortgages and other family expenses (and none of you cheap bastards buying my MK II :) ) I didn't get around to sending the forms off with payment. So I guess I'll have extra hoops to...

With enough force, almost anything is possible ;)

Hummm.... I don't know. I'd probably take the upper off the lower and just try to hand cycle the BCG. Make sure it goes in somewhat smoothly up to the point the bolt hold open would go up into place.

Holy crap! That is really, really bad!

Same way I end up doing it- that sounds right to me. The buffer is like this one (carbine buffer): Not like this (rifle buffer):

The buffer retainer height is set by how far you screw in the stock buffer tube. The tubes generally have a little notch to fit around the buffer retainer. The notch limits the adjustment to full turns of the buffer tube. I can't tell what kind of tube that is, but some pistol tubes space...

Nice looking build! I use a standard carbine buffer in my pistol- no problem with it locking back. But I could see one of the "long" rifle buffers stopping the carrier from riding fully to the rear. The buffer retainer isn't sticking up too high, is it?

The BS of "10 mags per Gun"

That reminds me... I only have three for the P99... Those Walther mags are too expensive to hoard.
