    Hudson Mfg. H9

I'm curious what everyone out there thinks of the Hudson Mfg. H9 pistol?  It made some news at SHOT Show and is an interesting concept.  Basically trying to mix the striker fire of a Glock, with the trigger and feel of a 1911, and a low bore axis like a CZ-75.  Not sure how I feel about the...

CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 Carbine

Having several AR's in 5.56 I have the itch for something a little different.  I am very intrigued by the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 carbine in 9mm.  It seems to get pretty great reviews and has the right price compared to the Sig MCX.  Curious if anyone out there has personal experience with the CZ...

    Trap sporting clays

Very cool @T.L.Jones . That's a nice heirloom to have. I've shot the Ronald McDonald House charity shoot there a few times and they always set it up as a Pro-Am. Humbling experience to shoot with top end competitors.  And frustrating when they make it look so easy! I shoot much more trap than...

    Trap sporting clays

I'm not familiar with that location, but if you run Rt. 68 north out of Springfield up to Bellefontaine Mad River Gun Club has a really nice sporting clays course.

    Glock 19 gen 4 or a smith and Wesson m&p 9

Thanks for reminding me of that.  I agree with Ohiobellboy, the hinge trigger on the M&P isn't my favorite. Maybe I just contact the trigger higher than most, but I've actually had instances where I didn't activate the trigger safety because my finger was too high on the gun.  I will totally...

    Glock 19 gen 4 or a smith and Wesson m&p 9

Glad I could help!  You can eventually end up like me and own Glock, M&P, AND XD's...lol.  But my Glock wins every time.

    Glock 19 gen 4 or a smith and Wesson m&p 9

That's a tough decision.  They are both great guns. I switched from Springfield XD's to Glock when the Gen4 came out. This was mostly due to lack of parts availability from Springfield as an instructor and competitive shooter.  I found the Gen4 a much better fit in my hand than previous...

    Good optic for a PS90

Eotech's are hit or miss. Some work well, others not at all. I've seen more than a few fail during rifle classes. I have always found Aimpoint to be a better option. I have several Vortex scopes and love them. If their red dots are as good they should work well. Hope you find what you are after!

    SIgn it

@T.L.Jones  I haven't had a chance to read the bill in full detail. What are the reasons you are disappointed with the College Campus and Day-Care portions?

    Good optic for a PS90

If you're looking for small, I'd look for one of the quality mini red dot sights (MRDS).  Something like the Trijicon RMR, Leupold Deltapoint, or Burris FastFire 3.  The mini reflex sights are small and unobtrusive.  They keep the line of sight for aiming relatively low to the bore as well.  If...

Do you still carry in posted no carry zones in Ohio

There is actually no "required" sign format in Ohio.  The AG booklet, which pulls from the ORC, states " At minimum, signs must be conspicuous and inform people that firearms and/or concealed handguns are prohibited".  It does provide suggestions on posted signage, but in the end there is no...

Glock 42, vs Glock 43, vs Glock 26 for concealed carry this winter?

T.L. Jones , have you looked at Greg Ellifritz's study, An Alternative Look at Handgun Stopping Power?  I think he did a good job given it was all done by one man in his spare time.  Greg knows his stuff.  While it's not the definitive answer in stopping power, I would agree that it's all about...

Glock 42, vs Glock 43, vs Glock 26 for concealed carry this winter?

If you are considering pocket carry, the G42 is the way to go.  G43 will fit in a pocket, but in my opinion it is very difficult to efficiently draw from a standard pocket.  G43 is great if you want a super slim IWB carry in 9mm, however I have no issue with .380 so I use my G42 for this...

Help with ammo with the primer seated incorrectly?

Without being able to follow the link here at work, I will say that incorrectly seated primers will cause issues with reliable detonation.  If the primer is not seated far enough, your firing pin won't strike with enough velocity, if it's seated too deep, your firing pin may not contact the...

Shooting to the left by about 1-3 inches

Another possible cause is you're over-gripping the gun with your shooting hand. Given the amount of recoil with a 500S&W, it is quite possible that as you're pulling the trigger you are increasing your grip pressure with your shooting hand.  Increasing your grip strength with your shooting hand...

So did anyone get any good Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals?

Field & Stream had Remington UMC 9mm for $10.98 with $5 mail-in rebate bringing it down to $5.98/box.  That's as good a deal for brass case 9mm as I've seen in years!
