    OK suppressor guru`s, question

10/22 with a Zephyr XL has very minor shift toward the lower left (if I'm remembering that right- I haven't changed it since zeroing with the can and CCI subs) AR with the specwar shifted about 6" low at 100 yards... big change. Always the same shift though. This is one of the reasons I need...

    HTA DOLOS

Boy did I misread the thread title. Who's in charge at HTA's marketing dept that let a name like "DOLOS" get approved? Looks neat, but I think I'm happy leaving the barrel attached to my AR pistol.

    Side charging ARs... thoughts?

Haven't paid much attention to NFA before- I have one of their Glock mag AR lowers and the machining looks outstanding. I really wish they'd made that upper out of 7075 instead of 6061... 6061 is the cheap shit.

It seems like most folks are buying the hell out of stuff.

Or maybe it's just the Yellowstone caldera and that asteroid that's coming for Puerto Rico.

    Side charging ARs... thoughts?

Looks like PSA has a side charging AR upper: http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-18-223-wylde-ss-mid-1-8-fluted-match-15-m-lok-side-charger.html After shooting my carbine with the can on it, I'd be very happy to get rid of that charging handle under my nose. I know about drilling a hole in...

I'd keep a rifle and a carry gun, but this hobby has kind of taken over some pretty serious square footage.

It seems like most folks are buying the hell out of stuff.

I don't expect to see anything but the paint on the ammo shelves by October. No more bullets in stores (unless you target shoot with a.375 H&H or a .32 ACP), magazines that hold more than 10 rounds will disappear from every corner of retail, and you won't be able to find a semi-auto rifle for...

ITT: We debate the best suppressor cleaning methods

If it's anything like tumbling brass, the drum (rotating) style are 100 times quieter than the dang vibrating bowl type tumblers. I've got an old Lyman bowl tumbler and you can't hear people talk when it's running and full. The Dillon is better, but not nearly as quiet as Dad's rotary drum...

ITT: We debate the best suppressor cleaning methods

Here's a dirty Zephyr after a dozen bricks of .22. I picked, chipped, scraped, and cried for hours getting about 3/4 of the crap off the core. Thought I had more than one picture- I was probably too pissed off to take any more after the first one.

    Full Auto Glock 43

Impressive speed for sure. The problem I'd have with CC'ing that is all the bystanders.

    Build opinions needed

I like the Seekins that came on a DSG upper I ordered... not sure if it's the same one as pictured or not though.

    Cerakote

How's your GSG shoot bulk pack ammo? is it a 5" barrel?
  13. D

    Cerakote

I was about to say the 5.5" barrel won't be a problem... but it turns out my 22/45 Lite is a 4.5" barrel, so I don't know for sure. The 4.5" barrel is completely fine with all the bulk pack ammo I've shot through it- Federal Value Pack, Federal Champion, Winchester 333, and some others I can't...

Loose rear sight on a Glock?

Identical to the thugs in my neighborhood- it was a perfect demonstration. I gotta go over to gofundme now-

Loose rear sight on a Glock?

I need to take up a collection for every gangsta in my hood- they all need an auto sear in their pistols. Killings would go to zero and roof repairs would skyrocket.

Loose rear sight on a Glock?

I'd cut a spot face (semi-circle) into one or both sides of the sight- down kind of close to the base. It's a tall rear sight, so there should be plenty of material. I'd think a small set screw would work- probably in the #4 or smaller range. Or since it's Glock, you could go metric with an M2...

Loose rear sight on a Glock?

Thinking about the sight/slide a little more... The sight has almost no inertial mass- it's not heavy enough to really exert much force at all on the dovetail- even during the slide cyclic motion. The slide weighs a lot (comparatively) and doesn't deform when it's slamming home against the...

Loose rear sight on a Glock?

Honestly, I don't know. I'd expect the sight material to be softer than the slide... just a guess. The softer material always gives first, so I'd have to think it was the sight. Is there any chance something whacked it enough to bend the sight? I mean, if it worked without problems for a...

    Ha... I'm sure they'd enjoy a good laugh at Ameriglo's expense :)
