After shooting long distance, I've decided that the 4x Millet DMR rifle scope is fine for anything I'm going to do. If we're talking man sized targets and not X ring shots, 4x at 500 yards is plenty of magnification. Just my two cents.

I just use a plain old canvas sling. It carries fine and I can get my arm through it for a hasty sling for stabilization.

Got a 10.5" AR pistol... with a flaming pig on the end. It's bearable with ear muffs (not doubling up on ear pro). My latest plan is to get the Grunt M from @DoglegArms and permanently pin/weld it to my upper. Provided it's over the 16" length requirement, it's going to be my single stamp AR.
