    School me on 1911's

I can't really comment on the Doublestar 1911. I've shot a couple, but not enough to really form an opinion, and I haven't had one apart.

I've only ever sold 2 guns that I regret selling. One was my Rockola M1 carbine.

    Make your own camo?

I know a business in Florida that can do any camo pattern you supply. They use a process the pioneered called "Image Lock". It involves an application of KG Industries Gun Kote and their process "tattoos"your image into it. I haven't used them, but my buddy has his DDM4 done in Kryptec and...

Don't know for sure, but easy enough to check. Look at the cost of the parts, then go to a John Harrison's website and see what the labor will be. Then factor in a lengthy wait time cuz John is in high demand and there's a shitload of folks in line ahead of you!

Here's an SAI RO, sights and ignition parts replaced/upgraded, all work done by John Harrison. John is the best, and it's located at his shop in Kennesaw. https://shop.harrisoncustom.com/springfield-range-officer-45-acp

What's your price range? From the bottom up I would recommend: SAI Loaded SAI RO SAI TRP The TRP is definitely not a Loaded with a checkered front strap. There is quite a bit more to it than that, but they are also quite a bit more money. I used a lightly tuned SAI TRP to achieve my Grand...

    Savage MSR Teaser

It's more my personal opinion. If you like them......press on! I don't get bent out of shape when I have students show up with them as they are usually reliable and accurate. When I say they feel cheap, that's definitely a personal opinion! Other folks say they don't, or that it doesn't...

I have not seen you produce a single fact. All you've produced is supposition. I've produced facts. I've produced facts over and over again. If you choose to take what is a fact and call it "black magic" then there is no reason for me to talk about it anymore. I'm not asking for, nor do I...

Anyways, the entire argument is an exercise in mental masturbation. I can't convince you of my theory, and you can't convince me of yours.

Must you consistently misquote every single post of mine? I did not say that the shot slowing in the barrel due to friction is a THEORY. I am well aware that is a fact. In all barrel (shotgun, rifle, pistol, cannons, etc), you reach a point of diminishing returns when it comes to barrel...

SumToy Customs is the company I chose to use as an example because I know them and for no other reason. There are plenty of other shops that are also using 30"-32" barrels. Google and you'll find them. When you can prove this statement wrong I'll concede: Competitive shooters using longer...

Interesting point on birdshot for HD

i am saying that my THEORY is that the shot reaches maximum velocity in the barrel much before the end of the 31" barrel, effecting MV and wad performance. Now friction takes over, which slows down the shot in the barrel. Just like the reason that guys don't use 32" barrels for .308's; because...

Guys consistently, 100% of the time, winning first place with 30"-32" barrels while shorter barrels consistently lose is "amorphous black magic"? No sir, that is hard, cold, proven FACT that I trust much more than equations from some engineer. Longer barrels consistently win competitions for...

It doesn't. But it is slower. Have I not explained this several times already? Slower MV = shot cups stays together longer = shot stays together in the cup longer from exiting the barrel = shot stays together longer = tighter patterns.

Interesting point on birdshot for HD

The guys that shoot shotguns competitively to achieve the tightest possible shot patterns are all, 100% using barrels of the 30"-32" length. That's all the proof I need. If shorter brrels produced tighter patterns then winners would use shorter barrels. In fact, it's only the losers in this...

Interesting point on birdshot for HD

Nope, I never once said that. It's a slight byproduct of a lengthened barrel. The purpose of a lengthened shotgun barrel in a hunting shotgun is to aid in swing/follow-through, which I also stated earlier. As to why the guys that shoot competitively for the tightest possible shot patterns...
