New Magpul PRS - Looks decent

Depending upon intended use, and skill of the shooter, not all rifles are candidates for a Magpul PRS. I have several AR's and only 1 has a PRS; my JP Enterprises LRP-07 .308. The ability to adjust the PRS to fit me perfectly is one of the factors that allows me to run that 18" .308 semi-auto...

    Whaddya Have?

Tootsie Rolls have a meaning for US Marines. During the Korean War, the conditions at the Chosin Reservoir were nearly unbearable, with temperatures dropping to nearly -30 degrees below zero F. At some point a call was put out for "Tootsie Rolls," which was the code name for mortar shells. The...

    Troy complete uppers?

That is a very good price for the complete upper. The ad is a bit short on some of the specs, it the additional information could probably be found on Troy's website.

    Troy complete uppers?

I only commented that Troy was good quality, then I threw out an unsolicited personal rant on the company in general. I didn't bother to look at the price since I wasn't asked to comment on whether or not it was a deal, and I'm not currently in the market for an upper.

    Troy complete uppers?

Troy is excellent quality.......but like NWS said, I won't give them any of my money. Too many options out there from more reputable companies. You, of course, are welcome to spend your money where you may. No reason why the upper you linked won't give you many years of excellent service.

New Magpul PRS - Looks decent

I'm modifying 1 gun and building a second, and wanting to cut weight on both. Looking at the Luth-AR for both. Overall I prefer the Magpul PRS, but the Luth-AR is "good enough" and weighs less. Price starts around $150 MSRP and can go up depending upon options. The gun I'm modifying is a...

New Magpul PRS - Looks decent

I run the PRS on my JP Enterprises LRP-07 in .308. I like the adjustability of it in that application, for what I use that rifle for. For my "standard" M4's I prefer the Magpul MOE.

How to shoot a pistol correctly

Trigger control and trigger finger placement are 2 totally separate things. I don't buy into trigger finger placement. Yes, placing your finger a certain way MAY give you better, but can be different for different folks. What matters with the trigger is that you press it straight to the...

    Rear sight mod, FN FNS

Had a student today that had issues running some of the one-handed drills due to the design of the rear sight on his FN FNS. Love that pistol, but loathe any sort of Novak-style rear sight. Brought his pistol back to my shop and modified the rear sight; cut off the front end and filed it...
