All a matter of personal preferences. Some folks don't shoot unmagnified RDS very well. When my daughter was 10YOA she was ringing steel at 500yds with a DDM4v1, an Aimpoint Micro T1, and M193 ball. She learned to shoot on irons, though.

The HABU is very interesting.

I prefer a small RDS (like the Aimpoint Micro) with BUIS, but there ain't nothing wrong with running straight irons. I'd prefer good irons to some of the high powered optics I see some folks run on an SBR.

I'm leery of PO's when it comes to reliability. Many 1911 gunsmiths won't work on them and I don't blame them. When you charge a set price per job, and an out-of-spec gun ends up taking 3x longer than it should to work on, cuts into your profits. With that being said, before PO came out...

I like the Ruger 22/45 Lite quite a bit. Got my daughter one in green. Shoots great with and without the Silencerco Sparrow. Looks cool as hell as well, which ain't a bad thing. If you're up in my neck of the woods, you're welcome to shoot this one.
