Yep - I have a couple 8x57s, lol. 98- actioned 7x57s get me really sweaty.

I sold all my 8x56R reloading stuff, I'm pretty sure I still have some clips (just a couple) and maybe some ammo. I'll look this weekend. (it's in "that box" under my bench)

Fun fact - the Swedes got some K98s after the war, re-barreled them to 6.5, yet retained the barrel OD of the 8. They changed the rear sight, but man, I'd love to snag one of those. Gotta shoot straight.

Exactly this. Once the mob mentality takes hold, nobody gets it under control without a lot of fighting. History makes that very obvious.

I don't know if politicians thought it would just fade out or if they cynically thought it would pay off for them at election time, but they fucked up letting rioters run loose.

Not taking sides since I don't know what the fucking sides are but, was glock boi planning to take him prisoner? If I'm engaging a dude with a firearm, I don't plan to run right up to hands on distance & give him time to respond, even as poor a shot as I am. Imma either shoot him from further back or unass the scene post haste.

Let’s all just take a minute to appreciate how Necessary a sling is to ALL long guns. Dude tried to curb stomp the boog boi, didn’t work, tried to rip rifle away. Also didn’t work. Needless to say, optics, lights and designators are helpful. SLINGS are necessary.
