Buddy of mine has a M&P Compact 2.0 with an Apex forward set flat trigger and that thing shoots great. The trigger really makes that gun though. I'm not a fan of the factory M&P triggers.

This a "Period" scope mount from back in the day. Arsenal 416.
I have a 1.0 in .357SIG with Apex trigger and it's awesome. Also got a Shield 9 and the trigger is literally the worst. Just put an Apex DCEAK (?) trigger in it but haven't shot it. Have a 2.0 9mm 5 inch barrel and the trigger is not terrible. It's all over the map with these.
I know the P229R will run out of the box.

I took it with a flash and it Bugalood me. 
I like Galil sights better than anything, but this works pretty nicely on a more traditional build.
