There's one for sale with some partial bubba-ing but its $500. A fully foreign built gun for 5-hundo
I drove it from Wisconsin, no issues and I'll drive it tomorrow before I get the test done. It really is a pretty good old hooptie, and I found a buyer for it. I just need to get the tag and a Ga. Title for it, so I can transfer it to them.
I have an appreciation for the late 90s early 2000s GMs. They kinda suck, but are usually pretty comfortable, relatively reliable, and most importantly very cheap and easy to fix. If I was to buy a car to drive around I'd buy a panther body tho.
Man...that x51 Galil using OG galil mags looks so much better. Wish they offered that
Could be worse, but I would pass. Rather spend $100 and get something less wonky. You could easily surpass $100 fixing that

I bought 10 when they were like $4 each from some company about a year ago. I took the time to stipple one everywhere that wasn’t covered by the mag well, and promptly lost that mag. I almost never lose stuff, it pissed me off. Gonna sit down during the holidays (maybe during college football games) and stipple a few more.
They’re great for my EDC AR pistol-in-a-bag.

How much were they? I’m considering cutting one down myself.
I’ve cut down pistol mags before, so this shouldn’t be much more difficult.
I probably paid too much, but is was $80 delivered for the three mags and the pouch.

I guess we'll just see how the thing runs. I imagine if we can get 40k more out of it we'll be at 200k miles and probably be looking for something else anyway.

Maybe not, since there are few alternatives
If it really is the catalytic converter take it to a muffler shop and have them put a "high flow" catalytic converter on it. It will be 1/4 of the price of a regular cat. It's basically a hollowed out cat with 1/4 of the material in there. It might make the exhaust a little bit louder but with factory mufflers, resonators and most newer cars have multiple cats it won't be that much louder. I did that with my old car and saved over a grand versus putting a regular cat on it.
