If it really is the catalytic converter take it to a muffler shop and have them put a "high flow" catalytic converter on it. It will be 1/4 of the price of a regular cat. It's basically a hollowed out cat with 1/4 of the material in there. It might make the exhaust a little bit louder but with factory mufflers, resonators and most newer cars have multiple cats it won't be that much louder. I did that with my old car and saved over a grand versus putting a regular cat on it.
There’s a way to clean out a cat - I can’t remember right now but I think it’s soaking it in vinegar. I saw it a while back while I was surfing YouTube. Some old guy mechanic who talks about practical repairs. He’s all weird and goofy, but he makes sense. I’ll try find it and post it here.

Honestly had I know I would have just gone to Hodges and see what I could find. Only problem with surplus is I'm tall and fat
Hodges is mostly aftermarket these days, not much true surplus there.
Maybe the 5.11 store on Barrett pkwy?
Or the “surplus” store behind Tru-Prep? They sell their own brand of mil-spec wear, can’t remember the name

This tanker is out of stock now.. but $32+ was the last price point I have seen for new.

Maybe I’ll just cut one down myself, and make it the same length as the pistol grip, and however many rounds it holds, that’s the right number.

These are the ones I’m gonna sale.
Top: Hungarian 4 cell, 3 polish 3 cells
Bottom: 4 very good/excellent romy 3 cells
Foot is not for sale at this time. Unless you really have a fetish, and if so we can talk and keep it discreet.

Prices? I could use a few - specifically 2 of the 3-cell type, and one of the 4-cell.

5.11 is mostly for tacti-hipsters. They dont make clothes for guys my size.

I like tru-spec pants and wear them daily at work

I was expecting at least quality clothes...but man. It wasnt much better than walmart. Thin materials but insanely high prices. Like Eddie Bauer prices. I'd shop Orvis for that much, at least its quality. It was a parking lot full of hipster middle aged men driving Tacomas that havent seen dirt in their lives.
They've really gone downhill. Used to wear their fire hose canvas pants managing a big kennel & being the "bad guy" working with police & security dogs about 12 years ago. Back then they were only mail order (maybe had a store in Minnesota or wherever up there) and limited colors, styles, etc. They held up great to claws, chain link fence repair, etc. Had to stop that because of my stroke, obviously. But I ordered another pair or 3 years ago and they were nothing like the old ones. Called the company & they said they hadn't changed anything. I told them they must think I was really stupid & hung up. I guess they decided there was a market where they could cut quality & raise prices. Maybe so, but I ain't part of it.

@KERTWOOD and car experts - wife's Pathfinder with 160k miles started idling really rough. Took to dealer instead of local mechanic mostly due to local mechanic is cheaper but takes way longer. Dealer wanted to replace the cat for $3k! And also flushed the fuel line and replaced the fuel damper. I'd never heard of the latter. Car is running way smoother now but the dealer is convinced the car is going to blow up since I didn't replace the cat. I drove for years with a check engine in a maxima as we don't have emissions in our county. So is the dealer full of it or should I have my local guy replace the cat so the engine doesn't have catastrophic failure?
If no emissions, pull cat and install pipe

Got so good condition suomi drums from here. Not sure if anyone else bought stuff here:

Good source for AK mags. Bought many mags there

Another good source:
They have decent prices on Lancers and new Bulgarian steel and metal reinforced poly mags.
