I have a boatload of baseball cards, other cards, and comic books that I am thinking of just throwing in the trash. I feel like if I keep them, my kid will have zero interest in any of the stuff. If I throw it out, my kid will probably be into that stuff and hate me for dumping it all.
Thinking about doing the same thing with my OG Nintendo and SNES and all the games too. I have this urge to purge right now.

I’d be in for excite bike if you have it for NES.

I got caught up in a couple serious "gun panics" when I was living in Colorado. After the first one I decided to cut down my calibers and just sticky with fewer more common calibers. No more odd ball or gucci calibers (300BO, 5.7, 6.5, etc), just standard easy to find stuff. 556, 9mm, 45, 762x39, 308. I'm down to only 2 45 pistols now so I may even take those out of the mix, don't shot it much.

With 3 kids at home and one at college, no way I could keep so much ammo on hand.
I keep 7.62x39, 223/5.56, a bit of 30-06, more bit 12ga, 9x19, 40S&W (only a couple k), some 9X18,
a LOT of 22LR

when I soot my Machine guns or Simi autos I cycle through the old stuff first and replace with the new.
I do understand that kids and family always come first period.
I just had the opportunity to buy a lot of mine early and cheap or I would not have so much now.
The odd calibers I do not replenish as they are stupid expensive now (but I do hand load a lot of these to replace what I shoot).

And I thought I was doing good when I bought x39 for $50 a case in the 2000s!
That's my biggest fear, x39 imports can be stopped with a pen, so that's what I am concetrating on.

I was not in to x39 as I am now but I had a lot at one time and sold 20k of mine a few years ago.
Wish I had not now.
I do remember those days of cheap ammo and we will never see those days again.
That is why I stocked up on so much 556 and 50BMG and x39 back in the day.

I sold those at the gun shows and that is why I had a FFL at the time LMAO

EDIT: SKS and a Tin of Ammo for 100 bucks tax included out the door was my sales pitch at the time.

I told my wife - "I'm gonna see how cheap I can build Alex a good deer rifle". We went to gun show, I snagged a Turk 98 that (this is unusual) had a pristine barrel. Had my buddy turn it down, lop to 23.3" and crown. I bought a factory 2nd stock blank, did the rest of the work myself. (bolt handle, trigger, safety, scope mounts). Not counting the Leupold 3x9 it came in under 300 bucks, and shoots better than anything else I own.
