Right now, it seems impossible to really move anything in my honest opinion. It's a buyer's market right now.

Yeah, guns and ammo aren't the most liquid. You can move them, but it takes a reasonable amount of effort and you have to be willing to take a loss. It all retains value pretty well compared to almost anything else you buy but it's certainly not an "investment".

Second this. Sold a 1911 yesterday at a small loss. The way I look at it, I got to "rent" a gun for two or three years and "enjoy" it. Priced to sell and it was gone quick.

It all depends on what you buy and how you buy it as far as taking a loss. I was able to put together quite a collection from buying low and selling high on GB.
But just like Wall Street, the market can be cyclical, and if you don’t stay on top of it you can wind up with a huge collection of BeanieBabies when the fad ends.
