Is this a trick?

I've been buying used lately, but if I was buying new and those are the choices, I'd go DD or PSA.

PSA for the price point, if it doesn't run, I can fix it/modify to my liking cheaply, DD if I just want to spend money and i'm happy with the way it is from the factory.

Walked into a new subdivision and someone had walked through all the houses and cut the wires off at the top of the breaker boxes, right flush with the feed-through.

Any chance you can grab em with your linesmans and get some slack? How were they able to pull wires and not be licensed?

People do wiring when they’re not supposed to all the time - myself included, since I’m a cabinet guy and the damned contractors often can’t read the fucking plans THEY sent us and don’t inspect the work before we get there, so I have to move j-boxes sometimes. But because I’m one of the few around that actually gives a shit, I leave the wires as long as possible.
Did enough car stereo wiring in my youth to know that short wires mean long strings of profanity.

Best answer is to lift the panel (if most circuits enter from the top) and use a large j-box or wire gutter for extending the circuits coming into the panel from below. Or vice-versa

Or add a shitload of little j-boxes, one for every 2 home runs. That’ll look classy as hell!!
