They print it by adding another 0 to the end of a column of numbers these days...

I'm at a conundrum so let's see what the KK (aka big brain society) thinks.

2 job offers:

Job 1: Pays better and is closer, but it's PRN so no benefits and no guarantee of work and it's a busier hospital

Job 2: Ok pay, tiny easy hospital, full time with benefits, but it's 7p-7a shift and further away.

Does far away at those hours matter much?

How important are benefits to you? Like does your GF's job have benefits for you? Health-wise.

Also, it's a busy hospital...what are the odds you wouldn't get your hours? In your profession, it's easy to find another job?

I vote #1. Go where the money is. And a shorter commute. I HATE traffic. Is it worth it to deal with that extra commute for job #2? I'd have to think Orlando is similar to Atlanta. I lived in Houston TX for awhile and commuting is TERRIBLE. Florida is all swamp land so the roads aren't on a grid pattern. There was a police shut down at an intersection (in Orlando) and I was a block away from the house. The detour took me almost an hour.

Job 1 is 7 minutes away. Job 2 is 30 minutes away.

Checking now to see if gf/fiance/wife can add me on to her benefits.

Job 1 is a huge hospital system here and it seems like a I'll be pretty steady on work, maybe even get a position when one opens.

Job 2 is just nice bc it's new new tiny hospital and it'll be super cushy.

Like many things, it depends...

Depends on how much more $ you are looking at
Depends on how much closer and the difference in commute times (esp. over the course of the year)
Relative difficulty in getting a position at either
Depends on what kind of benefits are offered, because there is a big difference between offering a 401K and offering to pay for your 401K

Job 1 all day
It would probably be easier to go from Job 1 to Job 2 than vice versa

Job 1 hands down if you can get on the hottie's health plan.

12 hour job + 1 hour commute = less time with hottie.

Probably Job 2 if and only if you can't get health bennies. Those are hugely expensive!

Good luck with the decision!

Get married. Use her benefits. Work PRN a little, but be a kept man!
