Quick and Effective Scorpion EVO mod

Good info- and glad it's more comfy now. I remember reading something once that went like this: "Don't own anything that you're afraid to drill a hole in..." I've found that to be very true.

    School me on 1911's

Well, I can't find the old sale ad, but I was going to post a link to my Sig Tac Ops that is still for sale. It's stainless, but not shiny- black finish over the stainless steel.

12 Days of SETmas - Artisan Coffee from No GA Coffee Co. - WINNER...

Well, that was some fast shipping. The coffee was laying on my side of the couch when I got home yesterday. And it smells really good through the USPS packing envelope. Honestly, after I walked into the living room I could smell coffee... no hiding that stocking stuffer.

    Recipe Official SET Apple Pie

Ok... I've got to stop by a liquor store to get my brother in law's bottle of whisky for Christmas, so I can add the spiced rum and grain alcohol to the list. Sounds like the recipe makes a few jars, I hope it's good! :)

    Glock threaded barrels

I have two Lone Wolf barrels- G17 and G34. And a Storm Lake G21... the storm lake was expensive, but my only option at the time my can cleared. So for a few weeks, I had a .45 can and nothing to screw it onto. Anyway, the Lone Wolf barrels are 100% serviceable, but not very "nice" as far as...

    With ammo prices coming down....

Shipping cost is always a big consideration- most of the time, it makes a great online price basically meet what I'd pay in a store locally.

Econ Sears is 'set to sink'

I can agree with this, but I'm reminded of when Sears started selling Craftsman tools at K-Mart. Great choice again Sears.

Econ Sears is 'set to sink'

I agree. I finally wore the gear out a 3/8" drive Craftsman ratchet. It was from a set that I got as a gift when I was about 16 and started driving. The replacement wore out in a year or two. So did the one after that. I quit buying Craftsman hand tools years ago. But gosh dammit I have...

Econ Sears is 'set to sink'

I agree with that for sure- but they've already cheapened the warranty (and brand)... I'll be shopping for Matco or MAC or (insert name cheaper than Snap On) in the future I guess. Sioux and Greenlee are great too, depending on the tool.

Econ Sears is 'set to sink'

This pisses me off because of all the Craftsman tools I own. After seeing the warranty more or less go to hell (Not guaranteed forever anymore, just for life which has a technical meaning of 7 years). They can't die fast enough for me at this point.

I'm learning. And for what it's worth, every scope I've owned has been a 40mm up until this recent Bushnell.

Another vote for 5.56/.223... 6.8 and .300BLK aren't cheap. And the 6.5 is a pretty cool caliber, you won't notice much difference between it and 5.56 at short range according to things I've read- I have never owned a 6.5. Dad has one and likes it a lot- but he likes all the oddball calibers...

Is/Has the .40 S&W going the way of the 7mm Rem Mag?

Well, Dad also had an 8mm Rem Mag. He said it was too much for hunting Georgia sized animals.
