Not sure. Finally got it close enough. These first 3 are beaters... test to failure kind of knives. I had no plan to do my own heat treat in the beginning. If i ever make any of these to sell, I'm sending them out for professional HT. Until i get an oven.

That's a good tip. I'll remember it. Those two were the scrap knives I hammered from cut off steel. Not super worried about them. Might do a hidden tang handle with no pins. Not sure. I can't believe the handles hardened so much even though they never came close to the oil. Live and...
