Any AK47 or AK 74 sling will for with the underfolder. Sling feeds thru the loop on the folder mechanism, and clip goes on the loop by the gas block.

Alaska has a LOT of Samoans (from American Samoa territory).More surreal picture of my time there was seeing a Samoan couple get on the bus wearing shorts, flip flops and small blankets over them. It was 20 degrees and snowing.

Bottom rifle in the pic is an FM Vepr sidefolder, Russian RPK carbine. I know you had said that you wanted fined barrel on your RPK, but that would mean US made Green Mountain Barrel, a good barrel, but it is not Cold Hammer Forged. Vepr gives you OG CHF CL heavy profile barrel, folder (or available as fixed FM Vepr). Already threaded. Nothing to do to it but shoot. Folders can still be found for $1600, fixed for $1500, sometimes less, if you are lucky and patient.
US parts on FM folders are pistol grip, front upper and lower hand guard and the trigger group. Rest is all OG Russian goodness. Built in the same factory that built RPKs for Soviet and Russian military.

Yeah, I’m using the Sylvan Arms folder - same idea as LAW but aluminum. Your 8.5 would fit nicely in this bag.

On a serious note, check the ice making tray after you hear it dump the ice, all slots should be empty. If not, check for broken parts by those slots. Since you found ice there before, something is preventing ready ice cubes from being dumped. In my case it worked once I got rid of them and reset the mechanism. In yours it might be a broken part.
If ice making tray is empty, listen for the water to fill up the tray, give it 30 min to start freezing up and see if there is ice in all the hole of the ice making tray. I THINK there is only one water outlet and water just leaks along the bottom of the tray to fill it up. Again if ready ice does remain in the tray, it prevents water from filling it all the way across and only slots closest to the water line are making ice.
