I agree with part of your reply, I think what we were talking about was that having witness's support what happened and that you were justified using deadly force. I don't think I conveyed that very well. But very true about "civil law".

As they say, with every round fired there is a lawyer attached to it.. :) I too don't have insurance, I have many police friends and have asked them about it, 90% have said if you can yell out loud for them to leave you alone to get away from you and that you are armed and will defend...

Hi Dirtbike... 1. Have you figured out what your cost is to produce 1 9mm 124gr round or 1000 of the same after purchasing all the stuff you need?  2. How much did it cost for all your equipment needed to produce that 1 round or 1000 rounds.  I too have been thinking about re-loading...

I think we've all been to some guns shows that were a complete waste of time, I would say overall I've been pretty lucky at the shows I've gone too.

Find a range close to your home, tell them you are new to guns and looking to get your cow license. They will point you in the right direction to obtain what you are looking for. Randy said it right... Shoot as many guns as it takes to find just the right one, once you do that practice...

I couldn't agree with you more T.L., BUT, I have no problem with people on terror watch lists, or people who have committed a crime where someone has died or they were put in jail. So, no terror, criminal or those deemed mentally unstable should be on a list and NOT allowed to own a gun.

I don't remember even having live rounds during class! I'm really sorry for someone dying, but for an instructor allowing untrained students to have live ammo in their weapon during class just make no sense... I couldn't even imagine how the family of both feel, and how that person who...
