That's like worrying about the sight radius of a red dot. When it's close to aligned you just see the center dot, then the outer ring comes into view as you align your eye behind the sight.

The best mod you can do for a 10/22 is the slingshot bolt release. It takes a minute with a dremel and 3 with a pin file. Taking out the magazine disconnect is normally very easy on many pistols and often doesn't require buying anything. Are these hacks? I don't feel Russian.

Standard abcde stuff. People that don't know how to clear an airway or perform cpr do not need to learn about treating gunshot wounds. Treating massive blood loss is great but learning more pedestrian skills is much more important and more likely to be put to use.

I'm assuming this is handguns. Treat it like taking kids fishing for the first time. If you want to fish, it's a pain in the butt. My goals for new (adults especially) shooters is #1- No one gets hurt #2- Make them want to go shooting again. I worry about other stuff later.
