    G-Shock revival

I wanted something a little different from basic black. After a little research I found that casio made a older 9100 model with blue resin. I found an old NOS resin set online. The gray/blue resin along with the anodized red accents gives it a nerdy theme.

The titanium bezel was scarred a bit, but a little work with 150 and 400 grit cleaned it up nicely. The crystal was polished with Flitz.

    G-Shock revival

Like the 9100, the 9110 has the typical features of a G-Shock, including time, date, stopwatch, world time, solar battery, multiband 6 atomic clock sync. The 9110 includes moon phases and tide info (interesting but not useful in metro Atlanta). I tore it down and soaked it for a while to remove...

    G-Shock revival

It's been a year since I restored the G-Shock GW-9100, and I decided to add another variant to my collection. I found this worn and crusty GW-9110 on ebay, and worked on it a few nights ago.

Things that keep time and stuff thread

Arrived a few days ago - a new stainless bezel and bracelet for the G-shock square. I haven't decided if I like it yet.

Good call. That's 800 you'd never get back.

need suggestions on an ABC watch

...also, the G-Shock Rangeman GW9400 is one of the best deals going for a tough ABC watch. It's just a matter of whether or not you like the looks.

need suggestions on an ABC watch

It depends on what you value most in a watch. Suunto is more focused on smart watch features and phone connectivity. Generally they need to be plugged in for a recharge periodically. Most of the Casios have triple sensors, few or no smart features, and are solar powered/charged. They also have...

need suggestions on an ABC watch

I like some of the features on the LAD watches, but for a basic ABC watch the Casio ProTrek series is hard to beat. Casio Pro Trek on Amazon My only ABC watch is an older Casio PAW1100T. It's large at 52mm, but it's made of titanium and plastic - very lightweight.

    Online deals in general

Looks like the only downside is that at the end of it you have clear or red translucent Glock 43 mags.

A big part of what makes a bracelet work is the "machined from one chunk of metal" look. I think it would look good in two tone if the center links were black and the rest brushed stainless, but the all black doesn't work (at least for me). Black works better with leather, rubber, or canvas.

Probably a good choice for the short term. You'll likely be the only one to know the difference.

    G-Shock revival

Crystal polished with Flitz, new resin parts installed. Nice examples of this model currently sell for $125 used to $200 new old stock (if you can find one). Given the availability of replacement parts, buying used can be a very good deal, especially If you looking for older possibly...
