So, here's how it looks when you're about to put it on, unlatched

Here's the slider that the hook latches to, moving this adjust size/tension

And here's how it would latch together while worn

I'm being 100% sincere when I say this. I don't like that band. It looks cheap. That watch is better than that.
Looking at the pictures again, it looks better in person.

I've got a saved search on eBay for the OE bracelet, I'll snag one at some point...then find some extra links.

It's interesting, and I like the lumed pinstripe. I'm not sure if I would like the elastic band as much as the heavy nylon NATO/Zulu straps. Honestly, I wouldn't mind trying one, but I'll wait until I can find a cheaper knockoff.

I've been wearing this almost daily.
Once it breaks in a bit, it gets very comfortable. I like being able to have it snug, but not tight and able to flip it around to the inside of my wrist easily.
Latching is considerably easier now as well, I'm not sure if it's due to breaking in or just getting a little experience with it, but either way I can now latch it quickly and easily.

A note on the lume...it's interesting. It really does glow, but it doesn't retain the lume anywhere near as long as the watch.
There's no upcharge for the lume vs normal colors either.

Is that vintage or a modern tribute to OG style? Either way, I like it.

I lost my original model a few years ago. This is the modern version, nice because it is unchanged in it's style, but is solar powered and auto syncs with the atomic clock radio signal.

Ugh, tuition is bullshit......
I want to drop the $$ on a factory bracelet for the black bay, but that would take a huge chunk out of my tuition fund.

I'm thinking about getting one of the strapcode bracelets. They look pretty good in pics, have proper, model specific, endlinks, and cost a fraction of OEM.

Probably a good choice for the short term. You'll likely be the only one to know the difference.

A big part of what makes a bracelet work is the "machined from one chunk of metal" look. I think it would look good in two tone if the center links were black and the rest brushed stainless, but the all black doesn't work (at least for me). Black works better with leather, rubber, or canvas.

Fuck. Someone on WUS just listed a factory bracelet for a very fair price....
