PSA sale build for a first-time AR owner ... thoughts?

Yeah, having to buy the MOE to Picatinny rail adapters was also a thought, but I gave him a link to them if he wanted to hang shit off of the forearm that wasn't compatible (and I agree with you, I'm not a fan of the Magpul forearms for my own use, hence why I've never purchased one)

Yeah, but your avatar is a dick weld, so I don't take you seriously....

PSA sale build for a first-time AR owner ... thoughts?

I won't be coaching, he's out of state; but I agree with starting with irons first before adding a red dot. The main purpose of adding a red dot to the package was his intended short-range use. It was already ordered as part of the overall package (as mentioned above, everything listed was...

PSA sale build for a first-time AR owner ... thoughts?

So I thought of that during the build process, but since the upper we selected comes with a basic Magpul BUIS (Has standard front post as well), and since he has corrected eyesight as good as mine, I figured the Vortex would be a good entry-level red dot to help him get acquainted with ARs if he...

PSA sale build for a first-time AR owner ... thoughts?

As mentioned in another thread, I have a buddy who has been wanting to get into ARs, I figured the PSA 4th of July sales would be a good way to get him started. Since he was just looking for a basic AR as a range plinker (shoulder use @ 15-100 yds, no LR accuracy needed, no helo-dropping into...

How does 9mm rate Vs .45 suppressed?

Throwing this out there for those with experience. Years ago I consolidated all of my pistols to .45 caliber and currently run an Octane 45 can. I've had the itch to add another pistol to the safe, possibly a VP9 tactical, but I'm curious if I should even bother with 9mm. Is it worth jumping...

And as I recall, you shot all 5 of mine at the range and claimed the Scorpion was your favorite because it had the flat trigger ... so stop with the Sig-hate, Nancy ;)

    Sig P365

Bro, set the crack pipe down and back away; I got rid of both the S&W E series 1911s I had after doing the side-byside comparisons with the Sig Scorpion and the Nightmare. The only thing S&W 1911 had going for it was a pretty grip panel, that's it - the Sigs took the best stock trigger/sear...
