What they do best is their 1911s ... those "awful extractor" 1911s kick the ass of just about every other make of 1911 on the market ... too bad no one wants to admit it ;)

    Recipe Jalapeño... on a steeeeck!!!

I follow a similar recipe, but I stick a big-ass shrimp (raw/peeled/deveined) dusted with some old bay seasoning, inside the Jalapeno; give it a try sometime, it's not too shabby ;)

Alexanders in blue ridge 1 day sale

I've had 2 in 5.56 (still have 1) and 1 in .308, these were purchased about 10 yrs ago - never had any issues out of mine. Some folks poo poo them, but my opinion is that they are on par with PSA's mid-level offerings.

    Flashlight talk

And therein lies the rub, as far as I'm concerned. Hey, great, you made a flashlight with leading edge tech, but to get to the function you want, you have to click the bottom, while holding down the side and click your heels 2 times while patting your stomach all while standing on 1 leg

lol, I guess you didn't see the extra insert along with the instructions explicitly telling you to remove that first? ;)

For size reference: Snapped a pic of the Streamlight TLR-4 Vs the Olight PL-2 on a carry-length.... While the StreamLight TLR-4 has both light and laser, the dismal 125 lumens has nothing on the 1200 lumen Olight.

The built-in charger would make it more attractive to me. As for the lumens, let's not get it too twisted; the beam's focus plays just as much of a role, if not more than, the overall lumens. You could have a torch putting out 1500 "diffused" lumens, but focus that same beam and you end up...

First impression report: I opened the package, inserted the included battery (Some shit called Greenmax Super Alkalie) and it didn't work. I then grabbed a new Energizer AAA and it turned on ....

I haven't opened the i3e yet ... I guess I'll go grab it and see whats what. As for the pl-2 Valkyrie, I'm not sure I'm qualified to give a "recommendation" for any weapon light .... but I will say, the 1200 lumens it puts out is awfully strong for anyone with white walls in their house. I'll...

I could see the appeal of frying an egg on your flashlight during a tactical ops. I wonder if it comes with a Nomex glove to hold it

I saw that Olight had an X9 Marauder rated @25,000 lumens advertised on one of their sites, but when you click on the ad, it gives you a bad link .... maybe somebody sued for having their retinas seared to their eyesocket and they had to take it down for liability reasons?? :noidea:

Posting up additional info on some recently delivered Olight products: Retrieved from the mailbox today (I ordered on 4/13, shipping label shows it shipped 4/23, I rcvd a day or 2 later I think (I was out of town). Some quick initial impressions and comparisons .... FWIW: Top to...

Initial Review of Olight PL-2 Valkyrie

Received mine, I'll add my input in a condensed write-up over on the Flashlight talk thread covering several models; the only points I would add to this are: 1. It ships with 2 standard CR123A batteries (but RCR123A rechargeables are available in 2 versions from Olight). 2. There is no onboard...

Initial Review of Olight PL-2 Valkyrie

Mine should be in when I get back home, in the meantime, does it say if you can use the rechargeable rcr123a batteries?

    Uberti Carbine

I've wanted to add a lever-action after shooting one a couple of years ago; While I don't need it and don't have any real use for one (it would be a safe-queen), I'm still intrigued ... the same level of intrigue that caused me to grab an M1 Garand, that also sits in the safe. Your post...

Sad that they screwed up the USP with that garbage, but I guess they won since I want to keep the USP Tac and now add a HK45 with regular 1913 picatinny rail to the mix

    EDC gun accessories

My USP tactical is the same way (granted, all due to the rail adapter unless you buy a light specifically built to attach to the stupid frigging HK USP rail), but that's exactly why it's not my night-stand gun. While I'd love to have the extra capacity that it affords, I just can't get a...

    EDC gun accessories

One thing to keep in mind during your search for your light, laser/light, whatever you end up with, is overall ergonomics once mounted. Everyone's finger length is different and some lights end up being too close or too far away from the trigger guard. I mounted different lights on different...
