Residential Room Clearing & Reaponse to Active Shooter, Jan 28-29 Marietta GA

Class went outstandingly well. Had a great bunch of students who were all motivated and gung-ho to learn. All showed a marked improvement over the two days, and asked some excellent questions, some of which were scenarios I had never come across before. We shook up Day 2 a bit by introducing...

    Barrel Break In

For "non-precision" rifles/carbines, I don't do it. Like a new M4 with a hard-chrome bore.......ain't gonna do it. A new bolt action or SPR, I do it. If it has a true "match grade" barrel, I do a shoot/clean regimen for break-in. For a factory rifle with a factory tube (Remington, Savage...

    AR-10

Overall, good guns. I've had a few shooters show up with the G2 Hunter in my Basic Precision Rifle Course and ran them out to 1,000yds successfully.

    Which overpriced gun?

Wilson Combat. Years ago, I was gonna sell my tuned up SAI TRP and buy a Les Baer.......John Harrison talked me out of it. Said the Les Baer wasn't that much better than what I had, but that the Wilson surely was. He's a man that would know.

    Bipod

Yes it is. Different catalogues and vendors list it differently. The lever will fix that issue. That's exactly what it's for. You can't get that round, knurled knib torqued down tight enough without pliers.

Class schedule at TruPrep/Kudzu Tactical for 2017

These courses are not on TruPrep's signup calendar yet. I'll post them up in a separate thread when they are. Just thought I'd give a heads up. These are all on Saturdays and I'll be doing 2 classes back-to-back each day. Each one is 2-3 hours in length (they vary a little from course to...

According to the ballistic workups he did, it should work just fine.

    Next is a 6.5G Build

Buddy of mine is building an SBR 6.5 Grendel. Not really short, I think it's a 12". It's a dedicated DMR system, and will be run suppressed most of the time. He wanted something that was lightweight, compact, would do 600yds easy, with the ability to run to 800yds in a pinch. Sounds like an...

    Savage MSR Teaser

Yep, a non-proprietary CH would be best. Always nice to have options. Most righties will forget it's there and never use it. I shoot from the left shoulder sometimes, but even then I would only need it to perform an in-battery reload, or clear a malfunction.
