Sorry I'm late to the party. Some......interesting.......conjectures so far. Sounds like you're decided on .308. Can't go wrong there. The 5.56 would do everything you're wanting to do, with the right ammo. .308 gives you a wider margin; don't have to be nearly as picky on what load you...

5.56 Hornady TAP 55grn GMX Barrier availability

http://www.theoutdoorstrader.com/threads/5-56-223-tactical-load-testing.1283452/ I've shot plenty of it before. I like its performance, it's a much more durable bullet than the 60grn VMAX TAP load I'm using now, and it uses the same dope as my M193 training ammo.

I found it at SSD and GTI before. Was hoping to find it cheaper than almost $22/20rds as I'm wanting to buy bulk.

Residential Room Clearing & Reaponse to Active Shooter, Jan 28-29 Marietta GA

Also part of the cost would be a Blade Tech training barrel and/or bolt if you plan on using your own firearms for the course. They're about $15 each.

Can't find any. Anyone got a lead on some? It's #81255...... 5.56, not the .233 load.

    Favorite stupid accessory

NOT my favorite by any stretch. Buddy of mine sent me the link earlier today. I thought the spiked brass knuckle VFG was bad, then I saw THIS!

Keep a bag of those in my range box. I use them often with my students for different drills.

I run the JP system in my JPE LRP-07 .308 for almost 5 years now. No issues, performs like advertised.
