I agree, but they already had small arms.
I mean, most of those things depend on software.... which can be remotely disabled. So lots of systems died, or at least could have been killed at will.
Where do you think those afghans are going to get parts for a blackhawk or a tank engine? Not going to happen.
That stuff will be a junk yard after about 200 hours of use.
There are several of those with no explosives... remember the bladed one that killed tge iranian guy? Some are just kinetic- i.e. real heavy and moving fast.
Limits collateral damage... but the target is removed.
