I haven't bought a new caliber in a long time. Settled in on a few and made sure i was set to either reload or had ammo on hand.
Passed on a good 10mm deal because i didn't want to deal with the ammo prices.
I remember the guys saying "why the hell are you shooting hollow points at targets?!" at a friend's house.... i told them there's about a penny difference in cost between the projectiles when you do it yourself.
I'm trying to remember Walmart prices... i want to say .357 was always over $25/ box.
Not bragging, but it's like 0.15/ round to reload, so long as you have free brass.
