.22 long ammo........I am an idiot.

The Henry is a cool rifle. The .22 longs, not as cool.

.22 long ammo........I am an idiot.

I honestly don't remember ever seeing them until they were in the seat of my truck. I know I have never shot them. They would cycle about 6 to 9 rounds per mag in the 10/22, which was better than I expected. The Remington Speedmaster will eat them like candy though. I have never shot longs...

.22 long ammo........I am an idiot.

Since I know nothing about longs, other than the fact that I bought 500, I wonder how far off the scope on my Speedmaster will be off from standard velocity long rifles? At 40 yards, I did not see a difference with the iron sights of the 10/22 rifle. I could still make the rubber prairie dog...

How about a nice cigar when reloading?

If I am not man enough to smoke a real cigar, I can't bring myself to smoke one with a battery in it.

How about a nice cigar when reloading?

I don't like it when you guys talk about cigars because I am a girlie man and choke like a little girl if I try to smoke one. :'( But on a brighter note, now that I am 50 I can drink black coffee! ;D

.22 long ammo........I am an idiot.

I have honestly not saw .22 long rifle in a retail store since Newtown. I have saw it in a couple of gun shops at crazy prices and passed. Well I am finally almost out and low and behold, stopped in a new gun shop about 20 minutes away, and saw CCI for $52 for 500 rounds. Not cheap by any means...

    Cool. Very cool.

    CCI primers????

I have not used the small pistol primers but I have shot around 400 .45 acp reloads with CCI primers. No complaints. No problems.

    The Ruger SR1911.....you need one.

I have two 1911's so far and I am wanting more. Next will probably either be a Ruger Commander size or a Springfield EMP. Of course many more are on my radar as well. Trigger, you can change those sights you know.

    $2000 shopping list

I have thought about it and I know it is a big money saver. I have a guy that is going to call me the next time he makes some so I can watch. I have some reservations to the additional time commitment and being completely honest, handling and breathing lead concerns me a little.

    The Ruger SR1911.....you need one.

Had a little time this evening so I went out and put 50 rounds through the SR 1911 and 50 through the Ruger 10/22. BTW, I am down to bottom of the pile on the .22 long rifle ammo but I am tired of not shooting it. Anyway, from the minute I first shot my 1911 I have been completely obsessed with...

    $2000 shopping list

I have 700 rounds of .45 acp ready to rock and another 800 brass that is cleaned and primed. I also have plenty of powder. However, no .45 acp bullets. :'( As for 9mm and .223, I need about everything for reloading those.

    $2000 shopping list

I am bored and broke. LC9, Mini 14 and some new steel targets all in the same month wiped me out, but it doesn't stop me from making a list. I "need" a Ruger SR45 Commander. As cooler weather approaches I will be starting to reload again and my supplies are pretty thin, so I need some components...

    What are you carrying today?

I have been cleaning the garage all afternoon. Mostly been carrying a broom and dustpan.

    What are you carrying today?

Now that I have 200 rounds through the new LC9, I have been carrying it tonight. I am liking this gun more and more. 200 rounds and closest thing to a problem has been that it did not stay open on last round on a couple of my reloads.

"More guns equal more gun deaths"

Some statements are undeniable truths. The sun rises in the east. The sun sets in the west. When fat guys shower they use more soap. More guns equal more gun deaths is not one of those.

    Ruger 10-22

Well said Rayzer. I seem to remember a cartoon where they used "The Way Back" machine for that. I could go for small town Indiana about 1970. Stop by the barbershop for one of the 6 oz. bottles of Coke and a $2.50 buzz cut or $3.00 flat top.

    Ruger 10-22

Yep Skip and the hardware store probably had a squeaky old wood floor. Ours did. And they always had a display case of Imperial knives.

    Ruger 10-22

And you could buy ammo for it cheap at the hardware store.
