School me on ammo selection for shooting suppressed.

I've got 1k coming from http://www.ammoclearance.com/product-p/lh9mm147rn.htm and another 1k coming from freedom. That should keep me busy for a minute. I'm not an ammo snob by any means, nor am I experienced enough to critique it, but I'll definitely report back if I have any issues with either.

    That's 1k rounds for $175 +$10 shipping. That's the best price I've seen anywhere.

Oh, I see. He posted a link to a deal, not actually selling it himself. So no KY jelly and fecal matter FTF issues....

Well that just means he's done with it. It probably has KY jelly and fecal matter all over it now. It'll just gum up my guns.

I did come across some 158gr. somewhere and was wondering if it would make a difference. A bit pricey if I remember right.

I never planned to go with 115. My question was basically is the suppressor specific or subsonic labeled ammunition worth the extra cost vs. standard 147gr. loads.

So the regular federal american eagle 147gr. is ok, just stay away from the suppressor stuff?

I'm still new to the suppressor world and got myself familiar with the rimfire stuff, but now I'm on to 9mm and soon .30. Want to drop some coin on a fair amount of 9mm to run in my 5.5" barrel SBR & HK pistol. From what I gather all 147gr. will be subsonic in this setup, but is it worth it to...

    DIY Bullet trap

If you can do that, then a dirt mound would really probably be your best bet. If you don't like the way it that will look in your future YouTube videos, you could always build an old west storefront in front of it or something. I'll even donate a life size cutout of myself wearing my cowboy hat...

    DIY Bullet trap

But you posted a thread about building one. Were you originally going to glue it? Some of us build because we enjoy it, doesn't mean it always saves us money. I'm sure there's people cranking these out and selling them for less than what it would cost to gather up the materials and supplies...

    DIY Bullet trap

It's a couple flat pieces welded to a pipe with a slot cut in it. If that's not simple enough for you, you're a buyer, not a builder.

    Sad Day

He was a funny and clever man. A lot of the most common cliches and catch phrases many of have said for years can be attributed to him.

    Fireclean, aka Crisco?

PAM is just a blend of oils with silicone added to keep it from gelling up. So maybe fireclean = PAM???

    9mm can

I got my Octane 9 at cherokee for $379 a while back. Not sure what he's doing on them now.
