Interesting toy. I spent three winters up at Rickenbacker AFB, near Columbus and the winter days can be real "fun". Have fun with it and keep warm.

    Iver Johnson X300 Pony 1911 .380 ACP

I'm looking forward to hauling it out to the range. It should be interesting. I like all metal 380s. That's why I'm a fan of the Walther PPK S1.

Known sources for ammunition - Availability Board

Since the Widow passed her CWP Class Saturday and forgot to pick up any ammunition, I let her have the 380 ammunition from my spare magazine for the Ruger LCP and a couple of rounds from the pistol it’s self. So yesterday I went shopping for replacement ammunition. Only one place had any self...

    Iver Johnson X300 Pony 1911 .380 ACP

I like the size and weight of it. Here's a comparison to the Ruger LC380. There's a slight mark or scratch or something on the barrel. I hit it with a Birchwood Casey Lead Remover & Polishing Cloth. So far so good but it's the little stuff that drives me nuts sometimes.

    Iver Johnson X300 Pony 1911 .380 ACP

If you looked at this puppy and thought Colt Government Model 1911, you’d be close especially if you saw Colt’s 1973 Catalogue. They were going to do a Pony. This one is marked as an Iver Johnson Pony Cal 380, made in Jacksonville, AR sometime between 1978 and 1992. If it were an Iver Johnson...

    Range trip - Ruger LC9- Beretta Px4 Storm & Colt Walther Govt 1911 22LR

The Colt Walther Government 1911 22 LR is a great shooter. I went to the USC Football Game Yesterday and watched them beat Mississippi State 34-16. Great game, with great weather. Meanwhile the Widow took my Ruger LC380 to her CWP Class yesterday and nailed 48 out of 50 on the range test and...

    Range trip - Ruger LC9- Beretta Px4 Storm & Colt Walther Govt 1911 22LR

It’s raining cats and dogs today in South Carolina. So no long walks or fishing trips at the lake. So I packed up the Ruger LC9 and a Beretta PX4 Storm. I wanted to see how the Ruger faired in comparison to the Beretta. I also packed up a Colt Walther Government 1911 22 LR. I put 50 rounds...

    Ruger love

It's about personal preference. I have a stack or two of Ruger's but also a mixture of imports. Sig, Beretta, Walther, and even Taurus have produced some great firearms. There is a mixture of junk guns on the market, both foreign and domestic. Sometimes it gets down to what one can afford to buy.

Yet another reason why I love Rugers!

Glad they sorted it out for you. Next month I'm heading out to spend a week in Phoenix. I may have to go up north and check out Ruger Road in Prescott. http://mrcompletely.blogspot.com/2010/11/visiting-ruger-factory-in-prescott-az.html Here's a blog from a fellow who made such a visit. looks...
