Don't be in a rush when laying out cash for unidentified antique firearms.

I was pretty sure I was looking at 1816 in rough condition, but was too excited about getting a Potts & Hunt P83 for a hundred bucks so I didn't pay close attention.

Got home and it's a fucking beater Potsdam. I might get $150 out of it. Spent $300 on it. Bleh.

The good news is the P83 should sell for about $700 so that should eat up some of that negative equity on the Potsdam.

My only hope is the Kubur pistol which I paid $500 for. There is one on Gunbroker in similar condition for $2600. I will be happy if it sells for $1200

Who can ID this pistol with angled forward grip?

It's in bad shape... But I should be able to save it.

I need something to dissolve rubber cement that won't strip the wood, or damage the finish....

1795 Springfield with a lock date of 1809. I can't complain about buying it for $300. Not when I should get $600 for it as it sits, or $800 if I clean the rubber cement out.
