I still drink and enjoy it.

same but i did do a "free of booze February" and it did effect how much i was drinking pretty drastically. I was pretty much 3-4 strong IPA's and a bourbon m-f and then gloves off on the weekends. Now im drinking maybe 1 a day and significantly less on the weekends.

The dry month helped me brake "the habit" portion of it.

Morning time kK full of philosophy I can barely stomach it.

I did have my fuck you water and my oats

Apparently I quit drinking at 35.5 years old? Yay me.

What kind of dad you want that kid to see? She's gonna measure every boyfriend according to you - her daily example. Up to you....

Philosophy, huh - "no good deed goes unpunished".

There is only one thing that changes the heart of a man......Father, Spirt, Son.....I have made many temporary changes throughout my life, but under the right stressors I have always lost major ground. Christ has made the only real change in me. That's all I got on this subject.

Life is about choices and decisions you make. You are who you are, people cannot change, only change the choices and decisions you make
I disagree with some of this. I think becoming aware of yourself IS a change in itself. And by changing your choices and decisions, we change how we operate, and thus will change ourselves. It ain't easy, slip-ups will happen, but over time these changes become habitual.
Gotta modify the way you think.

I might do 2 or 3 drinks on Friday and maybe another 2 at some point during the weekend. That's pretty much it for me.

When I was in my 20's I'd go through a 30 case on the weekend, easily. My body just can't handle that anymore and I have people depending on me.
