Honestly I never liked the FDE cerakote on it in the first place. Jake didn't tell me it was FDE when I bought it and I didn't find out until I picked it up 5 months later. I just never cared enough to have it removed. I like my current plan of burning it off. :thumb:
Yeah he did the same thing to me! I think it was already hot when you mag dumped and you exceeded the cook off temp. I let one of my buds run 2 mags in a row and I can't say he full mag dumped both but shot them rather fast. The can was steaming and darkening slightly. I was not too concerned as I hated the FDE look and glad I did not add any FDE shit to my AR to match it. I will probably just shoot it with some black header paint when it needs touching up! Lol

For Cerakote H series to burn off, temp has to exceed 525 degrees F. For C series, 1200 degrees F. Either series, that can had to get super hot.

A couple of mag dumps and you're at 525. I would think at 1200 degrees you would start to have serious issues.

Pretty sure one of these will be my first suppressor.
It'd look great on my 10.3"
