the fact that it looks sexy as hell on an SBR helps too.

Semi related, I managed to kill the battery in my PRO in less that 24 months. Guess I need to swap the battery annually rather than every two years.

Total saturday, or how many to cook the cerakote? Only took one mag dump to cook the cerakote, but I think they may have been tracers.
Target did not lite up, so I don't think that was the problem...Mine shot fine with the Scar, and did not change color, but it did get smoking hot.

Oh- you were the one shooting the red streaks. I thought I saw some.

Yeah, it wasn't intentional. I had a box of them break open a few months back and I just loaded them up into a mag to keep them from going everywhere. I noticed them right near the end of the mag dump and thought, "well that was an expensive mag dump." It was then that I noticed I had cooked the cerakote off the can which I found odd since I have mag dumped through the can before and never hurt the cerakote.

Ignorant question time.

Why would it matter that they were tracer rounds? I realize that they are incendiary but I would think they wouldn't "light up" soon enough in an SBR to affect the can. What am I missing?

I wouldn't have thought so either, and still don't know if that is what did it. I just noticed that when I mag dumped a mag of tracers, the cerakote burned off my can. Was it the tracers that did it, I wouldn't think so, but it never happened in the past so I don't know......

Gives it character.

Honestly I never liked the FDE cerakote on it in the first place. Jake didn't tell me it was FDE when I bought it and I didn't find out until I picked it up 5 months later. I just never cared enough to have it removed. I like my current plan of burning it off. :thumb:
