I held a 500 year old sword in Hawaii. It was a weird feeling. I wanted someone to attack me lol.
This sword is the latest sword i have all my others are over 500 years old or more.
I have 5 Japanese swords with this one being number 5.
Most of my collection is well over 500 years old and all are papered from Japan (sent to Japan and cleaned and Papered at Hozon and the certificates issued by NBTHK).

@dial1911 what kind of steel you using?

I've bought 3 so far. 1084 and 1095 carbon steel that I'm going to try to heat treat in my home made set up. And AEB-L stainless for the chef's knives... that's going to get sent to Peters heat treat because it needs to be done to accurate temps, and requires a cryogenic step for the best toughness.

I can't tell much of a difference in them so far, except for the obvious stainless vs. carbon .
