I hereby challenge you all to complete the 6 Week Pushup Challenge.

Here's how it works:

Initial Test
To perform the test, simply execute as many good-form push ups as you can. Don't cut corners and please don't cheat - the last thing you want to do is end up in the wrong level of the training program! The results may be humbling, but trust me, honesty is the best policy if you want to maximize your strength gains.
Once you've collapsed in a sweaty heap on the floor and your arms have stopped trembling from the exertion, write down the number.

Now, See where you rank based on your age and the number of push-ups.
If you are over 45 adjust your initial Rate number down by 5% and another 5% for every 5 yrs over 45.

Rank 1: 0-5
Rank 2: 6-14
Rank 3: 15-29
Rank 4: 30-49
Rank 5: 50-99
Rank 6: 100+

If you want to post your results here. Do it. No judgment. We'll support each other and track results.

If you are a Rank 1-3 start by hitting Week 1 Below. if you are Rank 4 or higher skip to week 3.

week 1
week 2
week 3
week 4
week 5
week 6

Ugh...I'm ashamed to say Rank 4. Almost Rank 5. Well, in one minute. I can't see why I would do many more in more than a minute. That's all I get for my PT test so.... Guess I have some work to do.

Believe me I know...nothing worse than when your counter keeps repeating the same number during a PT test. Never have I wanted to deck someone more...

I did rank 5 almost 6 this morn. (80) Then did rank 5 (50) for 3 more sets.

Then dragged a big tractor tire (flat on its side) around the parking lot by a section of hose connected to it 3 times.

Then did (3) 1 min planks with a 45lbs weight on my back for one of them.

Then I went and fought fire for 2 hours.

Haven't clicked on the workouts yet...sounds fun.
You go boy

Yeah, so I'm sitting here thinking I may be past my prime, but I was an athlete and a boxer. I've done push ups by the hundreds. I was getting ready to show y'all up, but as it turns out, I'm now a rank 3. Time to get my ass in gear.

Thanks for crushing my self esteem tonight @Hoss. That was just what I needed...
