JP is another solid bolt choice. Taccom has a new one out with an external extractor... I might drop my JP for one of those.

I just recently wondered about this very phenomenon... it is very common for iron sights... at least on my builds.. to be far left. I thought it might just have been how I mount the rifle... but the receiver face not being 100% square also seems logical. Not a huge deal for a fighting...

You're unlikely to find any mass produced product that groups small. And if there is such a thing... it's quite unlikely to be the 55gr flavor.

Federal and Independence are all my rifles see. Why chance a problem over a penny.

Their hiring certainly wouldn't stop, simply because of some possible future legislation. If they got the budget... they use the budget. Simple as that.

Yeah... not just a drill and tap job. The optic needs to sit tightly in a pocket to help absorb the recoil... otherwise it'll just shear off the screws. Also needs to have the mounting posts, in addition to the screws... again.. to give it more to hold on... and lessen the chance of it shearing...

Hadn't heard of them before. Looks like they're about an hour east. Towards Athens. I'll check'm out. Hour drive isn't awful... if they can do it while I wait. Wouldn't want to drop it and come back for it. Would be a haul!

Who's the goto spot for this service? Have an itch to build a 14.5 upper and need my Silco brake pinned. I'm a pretty handy guy.. but don't weld. The drilling and the fitting of a pin I could handle.. but no weld skill or tools. I'm in Forsyth county. Who's close and does a good job?
