One of the advantages of 300blk is 95% parts compatibility. 9mm is a whole other ball of wax. Not saying that you shouldn't do it, just that it's a different ball game. Keep in mind, that there won't be much difference in overall length between the two either.

Meh, I had a USP Compact that was a fantastic pistol.

You bought it used? Simple fix. First, clean the threads thoroughly. I mean spotless. Then degrease with acetone. Once it has dried completely, apply red loctite to the threads and crank it on as hard as you can by hand. Let the loctite set up for 24 hours. Good to go.

In my opinion, the VP9 fire control group is seriously over-engineered. Way too many parts to accomplish the simple task of releasing a striker. Quite frankly, I think that's why it failed in the video. Too easy for a bit of grit to get in between small parts and lock things up.

Is this your picture? The rear cap should not come apart like that. The blast shield should not be separated from the rear cap.

@Ocean_Glocker uses a T9 on his 300blk. He got a thread adapter, I believe from TROS? An AAC fixed barrel spacer. And shoots subs, a lot. Works like a charm.

I usually replace the trigger guard, trigger and grip. So I just order the springs, detents and takedown / pivot pins from Brownells. A couple of years ago, I ordered bulk milspec roll pins from McMaster Carr, so those are covered for the rest of my life.
