Nice. It's hard to beat a rifle gas system for a smooth shooting rifle. Some of the fastest guys I shot 3 gun with had some awesomely tuned ars. Those guns would pull off very quick doubles, and had virtually no recoil or muzzle rise. I wonder if it would cycle some lower powered 223 ammo too?

Low mass stuff shoots awesome, but you have to tune it to work for a specific load. There's a good chance it won't run well on a variety of ammo.

This thing is just silly fun. Going to chop another barrel down to 3.5" or so to make it more compact and lighter. Thanks again @Stonewall for the charger stock

Wire EDM is the only process that can produce a cut like that. To get a fit like that, you are holding a tolerance to 4 or 5 decimal places of an inch. Its expensive to get something EDM cut, but its an awesome process. It can cut through hardened tool steel like butter.
