I don’t disagree. I’d love a SBR but that starts to negate the cost. At that point I could do a CZ scorpion with a brace almost.
What I hope to see is a version like the 10/22 charger that could take a pistol brace.
The novelty and especially if it will shoot cheap steel case will make it a fun gun for sure. Would also be fun for some of the IDPA style carbine matches. @chance have you seen anyone use a Ruger PC Carbine at a match yet?
I have three reasons:
1: my wife is recoil sensitive and refuses to shoot an AR (“looks intimidating”) so it will be a good long gun for HD for her.
2: take down so it’s easy to pack away for road trips and takes the same mags as my G19.
3: it costs a good bit less than any other reliable...
I keep looking to see what aftermarket stuff is available, I know it will be slow to pick up steam but I would love to see a nicer magpul stock come out.
A “charger” version would be awesome too.
Have any of y’all had or shot one of the new Ruger 9mm carbines? I have been very tempted to get one but I wanted to see if anyone has any first hand experience with one.
I mostly want to see if it’s been reliable and accurate enough for self defense.
Better suppressed and maybe more accurate than a semi auto with the same length barrel are the only benefits I can see. Am I missing something?
Don’t get me wrong, I think they look cool and I want one.
I shot it. But not at 50. I had the first gen LCP with the garbage trigger. The LCP 2 may benefit from the better sights but the first gens trigger was too bad I think to benefit from Bette sights
I like that it’s an option but for what a LCP is I never felt the sights were an issue since it’s basically a “belly gun”. maybe with the better trigger and real sights it could be more but the LCP I had still wouldn’t have been very accurate even with better sights
I’m in the same boat. My wife always says “why do you need to put on pants?” When I change from gym shorts or sweats into something with a belt when I have to make a late night run to kroger for formula or diapers.
I’m not trying to convince you or change your mind, just giving you my point of view for the sake of discussion. The weapon light would only ever be used if I physically cannot use my other hand to hold a separate light. The TLR6’s size is so small that I really can’t find a downside to having...
I didn’t ever worry about a weapon mounted light on my carry gun till I had kids. I carry a handheld light as well but one day I realized that if I am holding one of my kids then I am limited to one hand which made me stop carrying a revolver (hard to reload one handed) and start wanting a...
I have a light and laser (TLR-6). I don’t care about the laser and never use it.
I personally think any gun that is used for protection needs a light.
I also have a front night sight and solid black rear on both my carry guns.
