    I think I'm gun-bored

I was thinking about it last night...There really aren't any guns that excite me at the moment. Even if I had $2k burning a hole i my pocket I don't know what I'd go buy. The only thing I'm interested in is an HK USC 45 but everyone seems to dislike them. I don't care if you dislike them but...

    walther people..

It would be very tough to choose between PPQ and VP9. I had both..i went with the VP9 as the one I have has Mepros and the Walther didn't. The VP9 felt a little better in the hand as well. You won't go wrong either way...just get the one that is cheaper and feels best.

I always found it funny that a recently post war British agent used a German gun....but I guess what choice did he have.

    bolt guns

Well you have a lot more experience with it than I do so I must demure. Like I said before, most people won't be making shots outside of 500 yards anyway so have a 16" barrel wouldn't be too bad. There are guys that make 800 yard shots with 16" barreled SCAR 17s...so I know the round and...

    walther people..

VP9....you can shoot mine if you'd like. On a side note the PPQ is the BEST striker fired hand gun on the market today sans the VP9. Between the VP9 and the PPQ you'd be splitting hairs. The VP9 has a bit more customization due to its interchangeable side panels. The PPQ trigger has a slight...

    bolt guns

Squeeze a bit more velocity out of the cartridge. In an open area one might be less concerned about an extra 4-6" of barrel sticking out .

    bolt guns

True....and if you where the type of guy with an adenoid you could spend the time figuring out which bullet is best suited to you barrel and lose very little in the way of distance to a 20" barrel. That would likely require hand-rolling though. I think an 18" barrel is about perfect for .308...

    bolt guns

From a practicality standpoint the Gunsite Scout is hard to beat. It all depends on what you want to do with it. For hunting I'd prefer a bit longer barrel, but then you lose the handiness of the Scout rifle as Jeff Cooper specified. I'm a sucker for laminated stock M77s....in either .30-06...

    Review: Blackhawk Bedside Holster

Interesting. You'd think Blackhawk! would realize that a bedside gun will likely have a light mounted to it and design accordingly.

Cool compairson between Glock 43 and common carry pistols

Wow...they put a Remington R51 in there....I thought all of those had either been destroyed by Remington or are in evidence lockers after killing their owners..
