And throw in a pack of baby wipes... it seems like whenever someone gets a cut when I'm around, they are covered in dirt/sweat/sawdust/etc. The wipes will get you to a relatively good starting point- at least to a point that a bandaid will stick.

Yep. I can understand that. I got the same feeling after selling a few pistols this year. I realized that I've shot a G17 and G26 so much that buying others isn't really reasonable any more. I'm so deep into magazines for those things, I really can't look at Walthers or other 9mms. Kind of...

The exterior ballistics book was a bust- didn't list the .44 Mag at all. However the standard Speer reloading manual does show test data from a .44 Mag in a 18.5" barrel Ruger. There isn't a load that is sub sonic (but this was a 18.5" test barrel). The slowest load they show for a 300 grain...
