    Who hasn't learned their lesson?

Interesting timing for this thread... 1K rounds of 62 grain Wolf and five more G17 mags showed up at my office yesterday. Aim Surplus had what I wanted in stock. Not great pricing per year's past standards, but $4.79 per box wasn't bad. Factory Glock mags (new) were $21 or so each. This...

If money were no object - top five guns

Oh- I forgot... if the tank is OK for this list, how about an A-10? Those should go for surplus prices soon, so maybe I could afford one.

If money were no object - top five guns

Your list is missing the articulated chair with three miniguns mounted around it. Can I count an Abrams tank as a gun?

    DIY GasBuster Charging Handle.

I said I was going to do this before and never got around to drilling the hole. Got to do something about the gas though. Three rounds of Wolf through the suppressor and I seriously can't breathe the air around me anymore.

Tonight's episode of Adventures in AR Smithin'

Wow- that is a first for me to see. Honestly, I didn't know that was a separate piece of the barrel (clearly not an expert here).

    Looking for powder?

Well, the Reloader bottles certainly look different now... all of mine are the old style ones. Good grief how long have I had some of this powder?

    First aid kit

And throw in a pack of baby wipes... it seems like whenever someone gets a cut when I'm around, they are covered in dirt/sweat/sawdust/etc. The wipes will get you to a relatively good starting point- at least to a point that a bandaid will stick.

Pictures from the mini farm (hobby farm) (pix heavy)

Classes on bee keeping... it makes perfect sense, but I would never have guessed such a thing existed. Sounds like you have found a good hobby there-

Holy cow... or holy honey. Retiring on bees sounds like an awesome plan! You seem to be off to a good start.

Well, your farm is looking pretty darn good, for what that's worth- I think you're going to have to strike the word "hobby" pretty soon :) Maybe replace that with second full time job or something.

    Ok let's see 'em

Well, Dad still has his and his dad's, so I'm going to have to wait a little longer. And he's a southpaw. So I'm either going to have to learn to open a bolt gun with my chin or learn to shoot lefty.

    My first can.......

Given that I all my cans basically cover standard sights, there is a hell of a lot to be said for being able to use factory sights unobstructed. Yes you can "aim through the can"... I do it regularly. But it takes shooting to more of a "yeah, I think that's about right" game instead of...

    Now this is a SBR

Didn't someone say that the reason 5.56 is effective is because it tumbles after it hits flesh? I guess that makes this super-sbr extra, extra effective... at tumbling at least.

    Gun Bored

Yep. I can understand that. I got the same feeling after selling a few pistols this year. I realized that I've shot a G17 and G26 so much that buying others isn't really reasonable any more. I'm so deep into magazines for those things, I really can't look at Walthers or other 9mms. Kind of...

When one wants to build out a registered lower.

I'll throw this into the conversation... I have seen lowers (billet or regular- speaking to the machined lines/style of the thing not related to materials by the way) cut from 6061-T6 and 7075-T6. For what it's worth, 7075-T6 has a considerably higher yield strength than 6061. It's also about...

    First Reloading Thread!

The exterior ballistics book was a bust- didn't list the .44 Mag at all. However the standard Speer reloading manual does show test data from a .44 Mag in a 18.5" barrel Ruger. There isn't a load that is sub sonic (but this was a 18.5" test barrel). The slowest load they show for a 300 grain...

    Now this is a SBR

Well, I guess you could save a lot of powder money if you were reloading for it.

    taurus lawsuit

Ha... they agreed to pay between $150 and $200 to gun owners who opt to send their guns back. I'm assuming that you won't be getting it back.
