Yeah- had a stainless PPK 22 for a short while. I won't be doing that again. Threaded barrel nut worked fine, shot OK, but was so damn front heavy with the Zephyr can on it- that was my last host that isn't a Ruger MK series. Even the 22/45 lite was way better handling than the PPK 22.

I have both- neither seem to make any difference in the Georgia climate. If I were expecting the same POI at my Georgia gun club vs. shooting in Alberta Canada, I'd probably pick the synthetic. However, if the shot is that important, I'd check zero in Canada in advance. Specifically, my NM...

Impressive- but I don't see how they got any real strength out of the small area where the fibers cross. I guess it was laid up on a cylinder and then the epoxy was cured one way or the other.

If someone at the booth handed me that, I would have been quite happy to give it a test for them. I'm not sure it could stand up to a handshake level grip... much less than how hard I'd squeeze it.

Good to know- I had no idea what might happen, but since there's lots of ABS plastic shields/guides/wiring stuff in an engine compartment, I guess the chemical folks should have considered it already (I just thought of that).

Nice work! The engine de-greaser didn't harm any of the plastic? I had a friend here who did the same thing. Kind of a lighter color scheme though- he sent me a picture of the rifle against an oak tree and you could hardly tell it was there.

Oh- and this is one of the times a universal decapping die is really handy... otherwise you have to mess up and reset the FLS die in whatever set you're using.
