I don't think it's "stainless" as we'd normally think of stainless steel. Unless it's got areas of very high nickle or chrome content, it should darken a little better than that.

Did you try the cold blue to round out the finish? Just a thought- or you know, roll with it like it is. I don't mind the case-hardened-Hi-Point finish.

I do this when ever I'm grilling and have a good, sweet onion on hand... Core the onion, place in tin foil pouch then pour in a 1/2 cup or so of Worcestershire sauce. Then put about two tablespoons of butter or margarine on top and seal the foil. I usually put the sealed pouch on the grill...

High pressure leads to a few other things- like blown out primers and faster case fatigue. And I hate reloading nickle cases. It's a very hard material compared to brass. It tends to crack. A lot. So much so that I have a bag of nickle brass that I'm not interested in using until there is...
