You're definitely right about that... someone else would take my pistol to the line and end up with a WTF look on their face. The real answer for that person is run it hard, keep you finger off the trigger, and make it breathe fire when you're on target.

Ha... I was reminded at the match today that if you ram a mag into my G34 hard enough, it will release the slide and be ready to go again by the time you get two hands on the grip... It's not quite right, but I'm not complaining! If you handle it like a normal person, it's fine- slide stays...

I can definitely agree with that- I was looking at it as a build from scratch vs. the cost of a LEO trade in Glock... it's hard to justify that cost comparison. I could see having one as a spare frame for another gun. I also wouldn't mind grinding/melting the replacement frame to fit my hand...

Nice! I'll be looking forward to a range report. I've been very tempted to build one of these just to do it. I haven't yet because of the price. I've done 80% AR lowers, just for the hell of it, but the Glock 80%'s are just too expensive once I figure in what the other parts cost.

Sub $600 and a good looking rifle- I'd say they did a good job. I'd also love to see some groups out of one, just to show they paid as much attention to the assembly/barrel/etc. as they did the looks.

Shoot...upon reading this, I was hoping for a semi-auto. Glad to see they've adopted "industry standard" mags at least. One of the biggest reasons I haven't bought Ruger rifles was the $40 proprietary mags.

Reading the SBR wording, it could be taken that a rifle with an overall length of over 26" does not necessarily have to have a barrel over 16" (although I've never, ever heard that argument be successful before)
