I always like the savage line and the 110 is a great first bolt and they have a decent aftermarket following if you like to mod your guns and don't want to go with the typical Remington 700 aka the Honda of the gun world.

eh it all matters what your trying to shoot, you can get the frangible 300blk for around .40 a round which isn't great but not as bad as a lot of other things, good ammo does get pricey though
